Event Overview
To raise Capsuleers' competitive skill and provide more opportunities for sparring and exchange, EVE Echoes will host the 2nd Super Legion Duel. This event features two independent brackets—“Standard Tonnage” and “Small Capital Ship Tonnage”—introducing a brand-new PvE speedrun qualifier and a 10-player Capture-mode elimination stage. Winners can also claim a time-limited exclusive Sovereignty Solar System (up to -1.0++)!
[Key Innovations & Rule Adjustments for This Tournament]
To provide Capsuleers with a better tournament experience, this league includes the following major updates. All participating Legions, please take note:
Registration Made Easier: Requirements have been significantly lowered—Legions with Legion Tech level ≥ 3 and at least 30 members can register and participate for free.
Environmental Interference: New environmental interference has been added to the battle Solar System! Due to high-density cosmic dust, Repair Module effectiveness is reduced by 75%, and all ship resistances are reduced by 20%! A true test of each Legion’s burst damage and tactical mind games.
Automated schedule: Knockout matches no longer require manual Clash setup! At the configured time, the system will automatically attempt to create the match.
Knockout Schedule Optimization: After the Qualifiers end, if there are not enough teams advancing to the Knockouts (e.g., fewer than 16 teams), the bracket will automatically skip the Top 32 round and proceed directly to the Top 16, and so on.
Slot-priority matchmaking: The matchmaking rules have been adjusted from “Matchup Priority” to “Slot Priority.” The system will first ensure the next-stage advancement bracket is fully filled, then assign opponents. Example: If there are only 6 Legions in the Top 8, the system will randomly fill 4 slots for 4 matches first, then randomly create 2 matchups and 2 bye slots, ensuring the Top 4 spots will no longer be left vacant.
New win/loss rules: If both teams have the same points in Occupation Mode, the winner will be determined by ship loss score (the side with fewer losses wins). If neither side enters the match, it will be treated as a double forfeit and the system will randomly determine one side as the winner to advance.
This League is also a trial run, marking the beginning of our efforts to make it a long-term experience. During the event, if you encounter issues or have any suggestions, please feel free to provide feedback to us, Capsuleers. Let's work together to improve the competition step-by-step.
The Scope may make temporary adjustments to the schedule and rules, among other things, in response to unforeseen circumstances or force majeure factors to ensure the best experience and fairness for participating Legions.
Overall Schedule
Note: All times below are based on UTC+0. Please convert them to your local time zone.
Event Period: May 2, 2026, 00:00:00 to May 23, 2026, 22:59:59, lasting nearly 4 weeks.
To ensure standardized and convenient operations, this competition will use an automated schedule cycle controlled by the server. Both the qualifier and elimination matches will be created automatically by the system.
Important Reminder: Please do not submit any other Battle Requests within 2 hours before or after your match, or cancel a system-created Clash, otherwise it may cause abnormal league data and will be treated as a forfeit. Elimination matches will automatically attempt to be created at each scheduled time—please keep an eye on the time and enter on time.

Registration Rules
1. The Legion CEO and Directors can register on the event page, and may register for both the Standard Tonnage and Small Capital Ship Tonnage brackets. This event uses Lossless Mode, and no registration fee will be charged.
2. When registering, each bracket must provide a roster of 10–20 participants. Only Capsuleers on the roster will be able to enter the battlefield later. The rosters for the two brackets are independent and cannot overlap.
3. The max limit for a single Clash is 10 players. Once a participant enters the battlefield, they will occupy 1 slot for that Clash; leaving mid-match will not free up the occupied slot. When all slots are filled, remaining roster members who have not entered the battlefield will be unable to enter that battlefield.
4. Before the registration phase ends, the Legion CEO or a Director may freely edit the participant roster.
5. After registration ends, members cannot be replaced, including members who leave mid-event. Please choose carefully.
[Legion Registration Requirements]
1. Legion Tech level ≥ 3
2. Legion age ≥ 30 days
3. Legion members ≥ 30
4. Omega members in the Legion ≥ 20
5. The Legion CEO is not currently banned
6. The Legion is not currently banned or under penalty.
During the competition, the CEO and Directors of each Legion are considered the default points of contact for communication and confirmation with The Scope development team before and after matches.
[Participant Restrictions]
1) The participant account is not banned.
2) In the same tournament, a player may only join one bracket (participating in the Standard bracket prevents participation in the Light Capital bracket).
3) The participant is not currently in the tournament rest period.
[Tournament Rest Period Rules]
1. Any Legion that places in the Top 4 in a single tournament will trigger a rest period for the listed roster members it submitted; those participants will be unable to register for the Legion Duel for the next two seasons.
2. Example: If Legion A’s roster “a” members win 1st place in the Small Capital Ship Division, while roster “b” members do not place in the Top 4 in the Standard Division, then all members on roster “a” (whether or not they entered the battlefield) will receive the tournament rest period.
3. The tournament rest period will not be removed if a Capsuleer leaves their original Legion and joins a new one.
General Overview
1. Tonnage Restrictions: The Standard Tonnage bracket allows Battleships and below only. The Light Capital bracket allows Assault Carriers, Force Auxiliaries, Carriers, Dreadnoughts, and Battleships and below. The same Legion may register for both brackets at the same time.
2. Event Stages: Qualifiers (10-player PvE speedrun; top 32 advance) and Knockouts (Top 32 1v1; 10-player capture mode).
3. No-Loss Format & Forfeits: Uses No-Loss mode. Each match includes 15 minutes of preparation and 30 minutes of combat. If no Capsuleer enters the arena before the preparation time ends, the match is void and the Qualifiers score is 0. In the Knockouts, if neither side enters, it is ruled a draw due to both forfeiting, and the system will randomly select one side as the winner.
4. Match Assignment (Slot Priority): The Knockouts use single-elimination. Each round, opponents are re-determined using random rules. The matchmaking priority is adjusted from “Duel Priority” to “Slot Priority”: the system will first ensure all advancing slots for the next stage are fully filled, then assign opponents.
5. Knockout bracket skipping: After the qualifiers end, if there aren’t enough teams advancing to the knockout stage (e.g., fewer than 16 teams), the tournament will skip the Top 32 round and move directly to the Top 16 round, and so on.
6. Tournament rewards will be distributed over a period of time after the overall schedule concludes.
7. Battlefield environmental interference: Due to high-density cosmic dust in the combat Solar System, Repair Module effectiveness will be reduced by 75%, and ships’ overall resistances will be reduced by 20%. Legions, please adjust ship fittings and tactics accordingly.
Detailed Rules for Match Modes
[Qualifiers]
1. Rematch Rules: Qualifiers are automatically created by the system. To ensure fairness, after the first match ends, the Legion leader (CEO) will receive an in-game mail and may confirm whether to start a rematch within 20 minutes. If a rematch is confirmed, the system will automatically launch it 30 minutes after the previous Qualifiers match ends. Your best score from the two matches will be used.
2. Clear Objective: 10-player PvE mode. Participants must eliminate the simulated Wasteseeker forces within 30 minutes of combat time.
3. Entry Rules: Legion members may pilot their ships into the match from a station, Personal Citadel, or Legion citadel. Warping is not allowed during the 15-minute preparation phase. In No-Loss Mode, if your ship is destroyed, you may re-enter the battlefield multiple times; however, as time passes, entering the battlefield will incur a Cooldown Time (up to 120 seconds). Fight with caution. Re-entering the battlefield will reset module cooldowns and the Nanocore mode cooldown time.
4. Qualifiers Ranking Rules (Top 32 advance):
(1) Faster clear time ranks higher.
(2) If clear times are the same, the winner is chosen at random.
(3) If not cleared, ranking is based on monster kills from most to least.
(4) If kill counts are the same, the winner is chosen at random.
5. Qualifiers results may fluctuate due to rematches. Please refer to the final rankings after the Qualifiers stage ends.
[Qualifier Monster Info
- Standard Division]
There are 5 waves, 36 ships per wave (180 total), composed of large numbers of high-speed Cruisers, Battlecruisers, and Battleships equipped with electronic warfare modules. Each wave includes about 5 Advanced logistics ships, and features extremely high-defense Battleship units such as the Scorched Land class. It is recommended to field sufficient logistics ships, keep your distance, and prioritize high-threat targets.
[Qualifier Monster Info
- Small Capital Ship Bracket]
There are 5 waves. The first two waves consist of 30 ships each (150 ships total), made up of a large number of Battleships, Carriers, and Light Frigates equipped with electronic warfare modules. Each wave includes around 5 Advanced logistics ships, featuring siege/Assault Carriers such as the Oblivion-class, as well as Light Frigates that pose electronic warfare threats. It is recommended to field sufficient logistics and escort teams, and prioritize high-threat targets.
[Elimination Round: 10-Player Capture Mode]
1. Auto Matchmaking: The system randomly pairs the 32 Legions that advanced into 1v1 battles and will automatically attempt to create matches at the designated time.
2. Entry & Respawn: 15-minute preparation phase and 30-minute combat phase. The respawn entry Cooldown Time rules are the same as in the Qualifiers (max 120 seconds).
3. Bye Advancement: If both sides forfeit in the previous round, resulting in an odd number of advancing teams, byes may occur in the next round. Teams with a bye advance automatically.
4. Core Capture Mode Gameplay:
(1) Each side has one Base and two Small Assemble point (cannot be attacked). There are 3 neutral outpost Structures in the center for both sides to contest.
(2) Capture progress increases when only one Legion’s members are within the outpost area; if members from both sides are present, progress is paused.
(3) At least one allied member must remain in the area to maintain the capture process; otherwise, progress will gradually reset.
(4) After an outpost is captured by Legion A, when Legion B contests it, the capture progress will first revert to neutral, then enter B’s capture state.

5. Points: For each outpost Structure occupied by your side, you generate 100 points every 10 seconds. (Note: If it is occupied by a side but is being contested or its progress is being reset, points will still accrue as long as it has not returned to neutral.)

6. Star Charts and visibility rules: Star Charts are provided during the round to show outpost capture status, current points, and remaining time. Enemy/ally count visibility:
- Our side: both ally and enemy counts are visible.
- Central area: both sides can see ally and enemy counts.
- Enemy side: ally and enemy counts are not visible.

7. Win/Loss Determination: 1) The Legion that reaches the target max limit in points first wins. 2) If time runs out, the side with the higher score wins. 3) If scores are tied, the winner is determined by ship loss points—the side with lower losses wins (Loss Points = value of your ship losses / 1,000,000). 4) If all of the above are identical, it is considered a draw, and the system will randomly determine the winner.
