2023-09-05

Dear pilots of New Eden,

EVE Echoes will undergo maintenance on 9/7/2023 at 08:00 (UTC+0) and will take approximately 120 minutes to complete. During this time, players will be unable to log in to the game. We kindly ask for your understanding and patience during the maintenance.

New Event

Lost Wasteseeker Fleet

Event Duration: September 6, 2023 08:00 - September 20, 2023 08:00 (UTC+0)

As unstable wormholes have been appearing more regularly, the exploration progress of Cobalt Edge has ramped up significantly. With it, Wasteseeker drones are also turning up more frequently all across New Eden.

During the event, all systems in New Eden have a chance to spawn the Lost Wasteseeker Fleet.

According to reports, the capabilities of Wasteseeker drones appearing in New Eden seem to have decreased, and they seem to be acting erratically. Researchers speculate that such a phenomenon may be caused by their far distance from the drone hive.

Fleet Type

The small fleet, which primarily consists of small and medium ships such as frigates and cruisers.

The medium fleet, which consists of a mix of all ships, from frigates to battleships, except capital ships.

The large fleet, which primarily consists of medium and large ships. Some of these large fleets even have Controlled CyanSea Carriers. Fleets of this type tend to be found more commonly in non-imperial systems with little human presence.

Loot:

There is a chance to acquire various materials, advanced fighters (CyanSea), Metalevel 5/8 electronic warfare modules, and interdiction modules (of some of the elites).

Tips:

To better break down wrecks in the space and strengthen themselves, Wasteseeker ships have a structure that is not particularly robust yet has a strong damage resistance, which is particularly effective against kinetic and explosive damage.

Neon Gas Series Nanocores Available at Regular Sales

In view of the substantial feedback received and to meet the needs of Capsuleers for Nanocores, the versatile Neon Gas series Nanocores are now available in the Store for Capsuleers to purchase.

With the new additions, more ships are also compatible with Neon Gas series Nanocores. Meanwhile, the Neon Gas Lucky Chest has been added, where capsuleers are guaranteed to get the Neon Gas Capital Ship Nanocore Opt Supply in 60 draws.

After the maintenance, Capsuleers may check and purchase them through Store → Regular Purchase → Nanocore.

Balance Update

Unstable Wormhole

Small unstable wormholes are now more evenly distributed in Cobalt Edge.

Tips:

Small unstable wormholes take a day to collapse. Once a wormhole has collapsed for a while, another one will randomly spawn somewhere else.

If you are flying a ship without a jump drive to Cobalt Edge, it is recommended to install a Wide Resonance Scanner.

Wasteseeker Checkpoints in Cobalt Edge are now displayed on the Overview without needing to scan them first.

Optimizations:

Valuation updated based on the market transaction record.

Bug Fixes:

Fixed an issue where the Thermal Circulation implant may occasionally fail to increase damage or activation time when overheating.

Fixed an issue where Barrage Repression has a chance to be fully loaded after going through a stargate.

Fixed an issue where the Sound of String effect from Nanocores cannot stack with Sniping Technology.

Fixed an issue where rebooting modules would not correctly display their remaining reboot time after arriving in a new system.

Fixed an issue with the wrong decryptor icon on the Construction interface.

Fixed an issue where offset may occur with the laser when attacking distant enemies with laser.
